Christmas Light Installation for a Town Among the Lakes
The Town of Windermere sits on a narrow isthmus between Lake Butler and Lake Down, home to roughly 3,000 residents. The 34786 address reaches much farther, into guard-gated communities and newer neighborhoods with rules of their own. Every Christmas display we plan starts with knowing which of those settings your home sits in.
Close to the lane in the historic core
Around Town Hall and the brick stretch of Main Street, older homes sit near sand lanes under heavy oak and Spanish moss. Neighbors pass on foot, especially the night the town lights its own tree, so we cut every strand to the eave and space it to read up close.
Clips for Tile, Ties for Palms, Slack for Oaks
Windermere properties put three very different surfaces in front of a crew: concrete tile over stucco, palm trunks that cannot heal, and live oaks that keep growing. Each one gets its own attachment, and nothing goes up with a nail or a staple.
- Barrel and flat tileClips sized to the tile profile hold the strand along the eave line, so the roof sheds rain the same way in February as it did in October.
- Stucco with deep eavesWhere a Mediterranean or transitional home has no fascia board, stucco trim takes its own clip, and runs follow each roof plane rather than jumping between them.
- Palm trunksA palm cannot grow over a wound, so we wrap each trunk and secure the strand with ties, keeping every turn evenly spaced from base to crown.
- Live oaks and mossOaks stay leafed through December, so we wrap the trunk and main limbs loosely, part Spanish moss only along the wire, and remove every wrap in January.
The Lake Side Deserves a Design of Its Own
On a lakefront lot, the rear elevation faces the water, and that is where guests gather in December: the lanai, the lawn, the dock. Still water also mirrors the display, so an uneven gap or a mismatched section shows twice. We draw the lake elevation as a separate view, with its own roofline and trees, and price it as its own line.
- Rear rooflines and stepped eaves
- Balconies and rails facing the water
- Palm trunks along the shoreline
- Oak trunks and lower limbs
- Garland across posts and railings
- Wreaths on lake-facing doors

A Lit Demo in Your Drive, Not a Rendering
Brad Sloan still walks properties himself and brings a demo trailer to every consultation, in Windermere and across every area Sloan Lighting Solutions serves. You see real light on your own stucco, tile and trees, then shape the plan with him on the spot. That judgment comes from 18+ years doing outdoor lighting and nothing else.
What Happens Between the Trailer Visit and January
Walk the property
We walk every elevation the house is seen from, note roof material and trees, and record your community's gate procedure.
Design and price
You receive a plan with every elevation, tree and accent itemized, then an install date once the design is approved.
Install and review
The crew installs the display and clears its gear, then you walk it with us after sunset and flag anything uneven.
Service, remove, store
In-season service runs through the holidays; in January every clip comes down and the display goes into our storage.
Windermere Christmas Lights, Inside the Gates and Out
Keene's Pointe keeps a staffed gate off Chase Road around the clock, and Isleworth and Lake Butler Sound run their own security, so no two install mornings start the same way. The historic town and neighborhoods like Summerport and Lakes of Windermere sit outside those gates. The same full-season service covers our Christmas light installation across Central Florida.

Questions Windermere Homeowners Ask Before December
Do you serve 34786 addresses outside the town limits?
Yes. The incorporated town covers a small isthmus, while much of the ZIP, including Isleworth, Keene's Pointe and Summerport, sits outside it. We install across the whole 34786 area.
Can you wrap the palms along our drive?
Yes. Wrapped trunks lining a long drive lead guests straight to the entry. On tall palms, lighting the crown from the ground means nobody has to climb the tree.
Do the lights run on a timer?
Yes. Timers come with the display, along with the bulbs and clips, so the house lights up each evening and shuts off on its own without anyone touching a switch.
Can the house be lit before Light Up Windermere?
Yes, with enough lead time. The town switches on its holiday lights at Town Hall on a Friday in late November, a few weeks after our install season opens, so an early consultation leaves room for design and install.
Can we light only the lake side this year?
Yes. Street and lake elevations appear as separate lines on the itemized estimate, so you can choose either one or both, and add the other side in a later season.
How do visits work in a guard-gated community?
Every visit is arranged ahead with you, from the consultation to January takedown. Tell us your community's vendor process and any holiday guidelines, and the crew works within both.
Could a permanent roofline system replace the yearly install?
For the roofline, yes. Permanent roofline lighting stays installed and switches from holiday color to everyday white in the app. Wrapped trees, wreaths and garland remain seasonal.
