Christmas lighting in Maitland

Lighting that works with Maitland's oaks, not against them

The canopy over Dommerich Estates and the streets around Lake Sybelia is the reason people move here, and it is also the reason a roofline gets tricky. Branches sit low over the eaves, sight lines from the street are broken up, and a lift cannot always get where it needs to be.

Cut to the roofEvery strand measured to your actual eaves, gables and fascia runs.

A long low roofline shows every mistake

Shallow pitches and wide fascia runs put every clip at eye level from the sidewalk, so a two inch gap or a strand sagging between anchors is the first thing anyone sees. Streets like Dommerich Hills and Lake Catherine are full of them. The fix is measurement, not more lights.

The whole season, handled by one team

Professional Christmas lighting is not an install and a wave goodbye. Six things happen between the first walk of your property and the empty bins in our warehouse next summer, and Sloan Lighting Solutions handles all of them.

On site design

Brad Sloan brings the demo trailer to the consultation, so you see real fixtures lit on your own house before you commit to anything.

Custom cut lighting

Commercial grade bulbs cut to your rooflines, with no leftover strand hanging past the corner and no mismatched color between sections.

Clean installation

The crew runs the wiring out of sight, sets every clip properly, and walks the finished display with you after dark.

In season service

If a section dims or a strand shifts in a storm, we come back out. You should not be on a ladder in December.

January takedown

We return after the holidays, pull every clip and strand, and leave the house the way we found it.

Off season storage

Your display is labeled and stored with us until next year, so nothing takes up a shelf in your garage.

Roof, trees and the water side as one composition

A display reads best when the roofline sets the shape and everything else supports it. Trees add depth the same way they do in our year round Maitland outdoor lighting work, beds and walkways bring it down to eye level, and the entry is where guests actually stand. On the lakefront streets there is a second elevation to think about, because a house on the Maitland end of the chain is seen from the water too.

  • Rooflines, eaves and gables
  • Wrapped oaks and palm trunks
  • Shrubs, hedges and beds
  • Wreaths, garlands and doors
  • Walkways and entries
  • Lake facing elevations

From the walk through to the January takedown

Four steps, one crew, and a date on the calendar you do not have to manage once it is set.

We read the roof, the canopy, the entry and the angles the house is actually seen from.

02

Design and quote

You get a display plan and an itemized price before anything is scheduled.

03

Install and adjust

We install, then walk it with you after dark and change what does not read right.

04

Remove and store

January takedown, then your display is stored with us until next season.

Maitland books up before Season of LightMost Maitland homeowners want the house lit before the city's Season of Light night at Lake Lily Park in early December, which compresses the calendar. Booking in October gives you the date you want.

Why Maitland homeowners stop doing this themselves

The finished look is the obvious reason. The quieter one is everything that sits behind it: the ladder over a two story pitch, the strand that fails the week of your party, the January afternoon spent pulling clips, and the tangle of last year's lights in a bin that never quite closed.

No ladder workInstall and takedown are both ours, including the awkward elevations.
No dead sectionsCommercial grade bulbs hold color and brightness through the season.
No December scrambleA strand goes out, we come to you, usually within a couple of days.
No storage problemThe display leaves with us and comes back ready.

Maitland Christmas lighting questions

How is a Christmas lighting quote priced?

By the property, not a flat package. The length of roofline, the number and height of trees being wrapped, two story access, and extras like garland and walkway lighting all go into it. You get an itemized price at the consultation.

Can you light a house under heavy oak canopy?

Yes, and it changes the design. Where branches sit over the eaves we work the roofline in sections and let wrapped trunks and limbs carry more of the display, so the finished look still reads from the street.

Do you work inside gated communities like Maitland Club?

Yes. We handle access through the gate or guard in advance, work within community hours, and coordinate with an HOA board or property manager when the entrance and common areas are part of the job.

When should I book to have the lights on before Season of Light?

October. Installs start in early November and Maitland fills fast, because most homeowners want the house finished before the Lake Lily Park celebration in early December.

Can you light the lake facing side of the house?

Yes. On the chain we plan the rear elevation as its own view, since that is what you see from the dock and what neighbors see from the water.

Do you supply the lights, or do I use mine?

We supply everything, including bulbs, clips and timers. The lighting is commercial grade and custom cut to your home, which is the reason it holds its color and shape all season.

What happens in January?

We come back, remove the full display, and store it for you until next year. There is nothing to box up, nothing to carry, and nothing waiting in the garage.
